Lot consist of: (A) Dutch Beaumont Model 1871 bolt action rifle. Made 1872, as marked on the left side of the chamber. Standard markings on the frame and barrel area. Faint cartouche on the left side of the stock. No import marks found. Rear sight, bolt and bolt components match the receiver. Barrel and other parts are mismatched. Original blade front sight and rear ladder adjustable to 1800 meters. Metal components are correctly in the white. Rear sling swivel is missing. Stock has its original oil finish. CONDITION: Metal has some light brown patina forming on its bare surfaces. Wood has a few handling marks and scratches. Bore is very clean with strong rifling. Mechanically operable, but the safety seems to be malfunctioning. (B) German Amberg Gewehr 98(b) bolt action rifle in. Made at the Amberg Arsenal in 1917 and later reworked at the Mauser factory. Small Bavarian lion proof on the left side of the chamber. Imperial proofs on the right side of the chamber. Rear sight collar is marked "S/42G" followed by 1930's proofs. No import marks. Matching serials on the barrel, receiver, trigger guard, floor plate, butt plate and bands. Some parts have been re-numbered. Stock looks to match, but number is not fully legible as the stock has been lacquered. Bolt is mismatched. Standard blade front sight. No rear sight. Metal has an arsenal re-blued finish. Stock has been lacquered. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its arsenal re-applied finish with light wear. Stock has normal dings, scratches and dents. Bore is frosted with fair rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
