Lot consists of: (A) Smith & Wesson No. 1 Second Issue .22 RF revolver manufactured from 1860 to 1868. Blued 3-1/4" ribbed octagon barrel, half moon German silver front sight, u-notch rear sight, 7-shot cylinder, silver plated brass frame, and smooth rosewood grips. CONDITION: Good. Traces of blue retained on barrel with majority exhibiting mottled gray patina with evidence of older cleaned oxidation. Cylinder pitted. Frame retains significant portions of silver finish, showing through to brass at high edges. Fair bore with visible rifling. Fair mechanics. (B) Remington Smoot No. 1 .30 RF revolver manufactured circa 1875 to 1877. Full nickel plated finish, 2-3/4" octagon barrel, half moon front sight, v-notch rear sight, 5-shot fluted cylinder, spur trigger, case hardened hammer, bird's head butt, and 2-piece checkered hard rubber grips. "MAY 4 1880" date scratched on inside of right grip. CONDITION: Excellent. Nearly all of the factory applied nickel finish is retained with small spots of loss on cylinder and high edges, with surface abrasions throughout. Grips good with some wear. Dark bore with visible rifling. Crisp mechanics. BAS
