Lot consists of: (A) Type II Remington Double Derringer manufactured from 1888 to 1912 with "REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILLION. N. Y." barrel address. 3" superposed barrels chambered in .41 RF. Blade front sight with u-notch rear. Reapplied nickel finish and 2-piece hard rubber bird's head grips. Complete with 12 rounds of ammunition. CONDITION: Good. Retains vast majority of reapplied finish with pitting underneath. Grips worn near smooth. Bores are poor with fair mechanics. Ammunition shows age with projectiles turning white. (B) Nickel finished Remington No. 1 size Vest Pocket or Saw Handel Derringer single shot .22 RF pistol produced from 1865 to 1888. Early production with unmarked 3-1/4" barrel, pin front sight, frame notch rear sight, hammer which doubles as breech block, spur trigger, and smooth wood grips. CONDITION: Fine. Retains vast majority of factory applied nickel with marks throughout and small areas of loss. Grips good but are mismatched, with handling marks and a small section of loss at left heel. Poor bore and crisp mechanics. BAS
