C. 1950's. Battery-operated, lithographed tin, finished in silver, blue, red, yellow, black and white. When activated, Electro Man moves with mysterious action. Has wheels on both sides. Arms and legs rotate and move back and forth, mouth opens and closes and chest lights up. There is some crazing and edge wear throughout, mostly to underside of arms and legs, which is not visible. Some wear inside battery box and some scratching and wear on outside of battery box. Includes well-made reproduction Electro Man box, marked "SY Made in Japan", with nice depiction of Electro Man on front. One of very few examples, a 'Holy Grail' of Japanese robot-type toys. For the very serious collector. Provenance: F. H. Griffith.
