Lot of eight military-themed biscuit tins. The first is a Rowntree chocolate tin with a picture of George V on front, issued to soldiers fighting in WWI. Second is a Morris tin with Field Marshall French, Admiral Jellicoe and Earl Kitchener of Khartoum on the lid, also a WWI tin. Third is a McVitie & Price "Victoria Cross Episodes", c. 1893, a nice tin in poor condition, embossed and printed with Victoria Cross heroes on it. There is rust and rubs on the side panels, worst on the top. Fourth is a rare Blue Cross Tea tin, c. 1898, with pictures on front of the Gordon Highlanders at Dargai and of Sergeant George Frederick Findlater VC (1872 - 1942), a Scot in the British Army in the Tirah campaign. Fifth is a Keen's Mustard tin in rarer, taller size with a detached lid, but the tin displays nicely regardless. There is a picture of Lord Roberts on the lid with a mark on his head, but the images are in otherwise good condition. The sixth is an unbranded tin, c. 1900, showing sailors on a ship doing various duties and activities. The seventh is a Keen's Mustard "The Life of Lord Nelson" tin, c. 1890, with a few scuffs and scratches but overall presents itself nicely, depicting various scenes from the life of Horatio Nelson. The eighth is Coleman's mustard tin, c. 1900, celebrating the English military with pictures of the Royal Artillery, Gordon Highlanders, the Bluejackets loading guns, Dublin Fusiliers and the English Lion on the lid. The pictures are bordered with floral designs.

Condition: (Good - Very Good).
