Springfield Armory Model 1896 Krag bolt action rifle made at the Springfield Armory in 1897 with roughly 62,000 made. Blued round rifled barrel with integral pinned front sight and graduated flip correct rear sight with brass bore cap. Blued action marked "Model 1896 Springfield Armory 89508" with "U.S." above. Full military walnut stock with finger groove grip, "P" in circle tang proof and blued steel hardware. CONDITION: 70% fading blue with handling marks and carry wear. Wood has oil soaked appearance with no visible repairs. Good bore and mechanics. DLM
