Lot consist of: Imperial Japanese Type I Carcano bolt action rifle. Made 1938-39 in Italy and sold to the Japanese Navy. Corretcly has no markings minus the serial number on the chamber. No import marks found. Bolt is correctly not numbered. Blade front sight with rear ladder adjustable to 2,400 meters. Original military blued finish and oil finished two piece wood stock. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with most areas starting to form a brown patina. Wood has minor handling marks and scratches. Bore is lightly frosted with good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. (B) Siamese Mauser Type 46/66 bolt action rifle. Made in Japan at the Koishikawa arsenal most likely before World War One. There were later converted in the 1920's to fire the rimmed 8x52 spitzer round. Chakra symbol present on the chamber. No import mark minus the applied serial number on the left side of the receiver. Integral sliding dust cover still attached. Standard sights. Metal components have an arsenal re-applied blued finish. Wood has a red paint style finish. CONDITION: Metal retains 75% of its re-applied finish with general wear. Wood has handling marks and scratches. Bore is frosted with good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
