Circa 1937. An early 12 gauge sidelock game gun with 30" steel barrels. Barrels are fit with 2 - 3/4" chambers, extractors, lock up extension, and matte filed concave tapered rib with brass round front bead sight. Barrels read "L.C. SMITH field GRADE" and "HUNTER ARMS CO. INC. M'F'R'S FULTON,N.Y.,U.S.A.". Sidelock action with checkered top lever, single trigger and checkered thumb safe slide. Gun is non-auto safe. Sidelock plates read "L.C. SMITH". Bottom of action reads "HUNTER ONE TRIGGER" on plate. Walnut stock with semi-pistol grip with black grip cap, ventilated brown rubber buttpad. Slender snap splinter forend with matched checkering. CONDITION: Good. Barrel bores are bright and shiny, slight bulge in left barrel about 3/4 of the way back from muzzle, Barrels retain 40% original blue. Trigger pulls are crisp and barrels are tight on face. Action retains trace amount of case colors with more visible in protected areas. Stock and forend with handling and storage marks. CP
