Matching splinter ejector forend has Deeley styled latch release and scroll engraved steel forend tip. Original brown leather makers case with stitched leather corners is lined in burgundy felt. A black and gold leather Holland & Holland trade label is on inner lid along with paper charge card. Case contains accessories including Holland & Holland round oil bottle, turn screw, cleaning accessories, leather pouch, handguard and a bone striker pot. CONDITION: Very fine, as lightly refurbished. Barrels retain much of their original black with wear points at grip, top of rib, and muzzle. Bores bright, with some indications of wear and use. Action and locks are silvered and retaining trace amounts of original case color hardening. Top lever retains nearly all of its softening blue. Trigger guard retains trace amount of light faded blue. Slight chip to steel just beneath left cocking lifter bar. Rear screw on bottom strap (tang) is slightly buggered. Buttstock is very good with evidence of use and of repair on the right side (bottom horn) just ahead of trigger. Forend shows evidence of use with soft checkering and marks. Action is tight. Barrels are on face. Ejectors are strong and in time. Case leather is worn with torn handle and stitching degradation but has new straps. Interior cloth is soiled. Labels are somewhat foxed. A great handling long barreled gun with good dimensions. CP
