Austrian Art Nouveau polychromed bronze and marble Orientalist sculpture, "The Palm Leaf Dancer" by Franz Bergman. It is of an Arab woman under a palm leaf descending down carpeted stairs atop its original marble base. The bronze retains its original polychromed finish and is in good condition with age-appropriate wear. The sculpture is signed with the Bergman mark displaying the letter B within a cartouche. Reference: An identical model is photographed in "Antique Vienna Bronzes" by Joseph Zwobel, Schiffer Publishing Ltd. ©2008, p. 150.
