An extremely rare and beautiful leaded glass and bronze table lamp by Duffner and Kimberly. Very few examples of the Russian are known to exist, and it has been described as one of Duffner’s most beautifully designed lamps by Paul Crist, author of “Mosaic Shades Vol 2”. The 22” diameter leaded glass shade features a background of beautiful streaked butterscotch colored glass. A series of three ornate crests grace the conical shade. These crests are comprised of absolutely stunning art glass in deep purples and cranberry. This granite backed glass shimmers when lit. A pattern of beautiful orange and yellow glass at the lower border finishes this lovely shade. The shade is in excellent condition with no broken or missing pieces of glass, and just a very small number of tight, hairline cracks. The shade sits on the original Duffner and Kimberly bronze base. The 23” tall three-socket base is finished in a lovely bronze patina, and features a complimentary pattern to the shade. The shade retains its original sockets and acorn pulls. All three-sockets are in working condition, however one pull is stuck in the “on” position. The base is in excellent condition with no cracks, dents or deformities, and some scattered loss to the patina. Original cap and finial included. Provenance: From the collection of Dr. Byron Vreeland Dimensions: 23” tall by 22” diameter.
