Framed Maynard Dixon painting entitled "Arroyo and Mesa". Signed and notated; "Maynard Dixon Rio Ariba, NM Oct 1931". Site 19 3/4" X 16". Overall 26 3/4" X 22 3/4". Oil on canvas/board with what appears to be a period frame with a "W" brand marking on the reverse. Reverse of painting has script notations; "Arroyo and Mesa, (N. Mex.), Maynard Dixon 728 Montgomery San Francisco. Other notations include; 430 and XII 18. Possibly, some of the notations may be from Gallery exhibits. Maynard Dixon (1875-1946) was a noted painter and illustrator, depicting scenes and people from the 20th Century American West.
Condition: (Excellent).
