Measures 19 - 5/8" from tip of kissaki to munemachi. Classic shinogi zukuri form with a kissaki somewhat longer than normal with altered geometry. Very shallow iori mune, almost flat, and shallow sori. 2 piece habaki made of gilt copper. Ubu mumei nakago with 2 mekugi-ana and a dent along edge just under the habaki. Fuchi and kashira with simple incised florals and lacquered. Tsuka-ito a modern black cord. Menuki in the form of foo dogs. Saya with a rough out leather wrap and single ashi hanger. CONDITION: Blade is out of polish with clouding and surface scratches from an amateur polish. Some oxidation, shintetsu, and what appears to be a fukure. Tsuba is dark with traces of gilt, balance of mounts are very good with some minor handling marks. EMW
