1915, USA: In this era of player pianos and orchestrions, Seeburg appeared to be introducing a new model every couple of months, and it is easy to assume that on some of the upright pianos of similar design, parts were used as available. As such, here is a Seeburg model "E" upright player piano with mandolin attachment and flute pipes. This orchestrion has been a bit of a mystery as the art glass configuration is that of most model "B's" we have seen, but with the flute pipes, it is believed to be a model "E". Quartered oak case, with original art glass and lamps. A wonderful example of Seeburg's offerings at that time. CONSIDERATIONS: Showing an earlier restoration, the cosmetics of this instrument are great, with a light finish to the oak. The mechanics were restored at one time and the instrument plays well and is in good tune. No music rolls included.
