1900, GERMANY: Fidellio music boxes incorporated Swiss movements and were made by Fidelio Musikwerke of Berlin Germany. Coin operation puts into motion a 28cm (11") cylinder playing six ayers (tunes) across a sublime harmony comb configuration and six tuned bells struck by Asian percussionists. Housed in a beautiful walnut cabinet with Musik Automat label, painted front glass and a place for the tune program. An extremely rare instrument playing wonderfully. CONSIDERATIONS: The walnut cabinet show little wear, with just light surface scratches from handling. The coin operation and the music mechanics work perfectly, and base cabinet and marquee appear original to the piece. A wonderful survivor and a rarity for any collection.
