1920, HOLLAND: A very unusual piece of music automata constructed from fired clay and painted into a motif of a women, with individually constructed figures, which are all extensions of the organ pipes, also constructed of fired-clay and painted. A creation from Dutch Artist/Sculpter Renate Koeber, in the form of a woman's body, possibly representing children or family. Whatever the interpretation, in the corner of any room it gathers your attention. The bottom piece contains a small organ, hand crank operation and paper roll activation. The smaller figures are the pipes to the organ, and as it is played, is the source of the music. CONSIDERATIONS: The clay-fired housing as well as all the smaller figures are in very good condition, no cracks or repairs noted and very little wear to the paint. The organ is operating, and it comes with only one roll, which has some light tears and will need attention.
