1900, GERMANY: Frister and Rossmann were more widely known for the fabrication and manufacturer of early sewing machines, also making typewriters at the turn of the century. There is no record that could be found of F&R producing coin operated scales, however this scale is clearly marked for the company, and in fact references that in German on the front; "Formerly a sewing machine manufacturer/fabricator, Frister & Rossmann. Step onto the footplate and deposit a ten-penny piece into the lions mouth". Very elaborate iron casting, extremely heavy, having been restored several years ago, and complete and in operating condition. Interesting fact, at the top of the column it states, "Tragkraft 125 Kilo", which translates to "Top weight, 275 pounds". CONSIDERATIONS: Restored, complete and in working condition. Amazing piece of early German pre-WWI manufacturing.

This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made.

Condition: (Restored).

Item Dimensions: 77" x 30 - 1/2" x 22".
