1915, FRANCE: This automaton was used in a store window as an attention device. The man holding the advertising drops the card after viewing and then picks up another. The unit holds six advertising cards. The figure is composition, eyes are glass, clothing correct as well as the display cabinet. CONSIDERATIONS: The display works on 220 electricity. The cabinet has been restored, and it appears the mechanical operation as well. The gentleman's clothing is not tattered and the composition face may have been repainted. These displays were reproduced in the 80's, but this is an original.
