1920, FRANCE: A store window display automaton of a dapper man standing by a light post. This display was intended to draw attention to a product. The gentleman's left hand is pointing to the front of the display, where an advertisement would be placed, illuminated from behind. Electromechanical operation shows him using his left arm to point, moving his left leg, and the light post lit. CONSIDERATIONS: This display has a new motor to drive the movement. The gentleman's clothes are original and in good condition. The lamp post works as well as the automation, and the lighted front needs new lightbulbs. 220 European operation.
