1900, FRANCE: French musical automata of a young lady with a basket of fruit she appears to be selling. All the fancy Victorian clothing is original, the doll's head and hands are bisque and her eyes are glass. Motion includes raising her left arm with product and head movements. The music box plays one tune, and has good tone. CONSIDERATIONS: The Victorian clothing is layered and complex. Some of the lace trim has deteriorated and shows wear. The music box cover is worn and faded, but the piece has an overall great look and represents its time very well.
