1900, FRANCE: This large single bird automata is perched in a brass cage, on a painted wood box with metal decoration. Original bird feathers and all original components, with working mechanism. CONSIDERATIONS: The bird cage shows many of the brass bars to the cage have been bent and could easily be straightened. The bird itself is a little rough and would need to be re-feathered. The music box plays but very softly. This is an early bird automata and worthy of restoration.
