Probably the best set ever produced by Bowman, 325 color cards. Bigger size cards and bigger number in the set than the 1950 set. One of the most popular of all the Bowman card sets. Has rookie cards of Whitey Ford, Nellie Fox, Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays and also Ted Williams' last official Bowman card. There is also a high number series from No. 253 to No. 324. There are 30 Hall of Famers in the set. The 2 most prized cards are No. 253 Mickey Mantle rookie card and card No. 305 Willie Mays rookie card. None of the cards are graded. Overall grading of the set is probably very good and would be good candidates for grading. Mantle card is off-center bottom to top and slightly right to left, with some slight rounding of the corners and some edge wear. The Mays card is off-centered top to bottom and left to right. Nice, clean, colorful card with no major flaws. Also in the lot besides the set itself are 108 extra 1951 Bowman cards, some commons, minor stars, major stars and Hall of Famers, including George Kell, Roy Campanella, Duke Snider, Bob Lemon and 3 Enos Slaughter cards. There is a nice duplicate Richie Ashburn, an extra Frank Frisch and also there are 13 various mostly common players from the 1950 Bowman set, which are in poor condition. These are fresh out of house and are all sold in one lot. There are 446 cards in the lot in total.
