Measures 24 - 9/16" from tip of kissaki to munemachi with an extremely shallow, nearly straight, sori. Shallow iori mune. Shinogi-zukuri form without a yokote (probably polished out, shape is not right for shobu-zukuri) with an artificially applied temper line that resembles a very tight pointed gunome pattern. Habaki with vertical striations. Two mekugi-ana, drilled, and signed indistinctly in 4 characters, with last two characters appearing to read Yasunori (?). Katte sagari yasurime. Shin gunto mounts with locking fuchi, floral tsuba, chrysanthemum menuki, kashira with floral-and-roe pattern, and a saya with floral-and-roe pattern koiguchi, koijiri, ashi, and semegane. CONDITION: Blade is out of polish with surface scratches from an amateur attempt at polishing and some strikes to the mune. Ha has two chips. Nakago may have been cleaned at one point. Blade mounts are possibly later replacements as the details of the casting are very soft. Saya mounts are very good, with good definition and some rubbing and chips to paint but very good. EMW
