Imperial German World War I inert stick grenade marked "Sprengkapsel einsetzen" (The words "Vor Gebrauch" indicating "before use insert detonator" are obscured by freckling), "H.N.B.", and illegible markings on white paint on the head which retains 40-45% of its original green paint, complete with its clip. Wooden handle is marked "N.C.B. 6.12.17" (made on December 6, 1917), and "5 - 1/2, Sek. _ A.P.C." (5 - 1/2 second fuse), complete removable end cap, and the porcelain "doughnut" and string.
