German 5.2mm (.22 Short/Long) Model 1894 single shot target pistol (Scheibenpistole). Underside of barrel is marked with the three German "BUG" proofs, and "5.2mm". Left side rear of barrel is marked "02 grNGB", and some illegible markings. Left front side of receiver is marked "D.R. Pat. 73855", and right side is marked with the "U" and "B" proof. No serial number is present nor import marks. Barrel assembly has rear sight mounted in a dovetail and is adjustable only for elevation. Standard German target front blade sight is drift adjustable for windage. Action is opened by pulling the trigger guard downward. Dual set triggers are present and functional. 2-piece walnut pistol grip panels are checkered and have left side thumb rest. CONDITION: Overall finish on the the pistol is very good. Barrel assembly is overall in a pleasing brown patina. Receiver, trigger guard, front and back strap show signs of a very faint case hardening over 40%, with very light freckling over 35-40%. Walnut grip panels are very good. Bore is bright and pistol is mechanically sound. WEZ
