1 of only approximately 1,830 "ac/45" code Mod. HP pistols manufactured by Walther in 1945. The left side of the frame does not bear the typical Walther Heerespistol banner and stampings, instead bearing only "P.38" and "ac 45". Right side properly bears a single "(Eagle)/359" waffenamt followed by a firing proof. Serial number "026873" is present on the right side of the frame, top of the slide, front of the barrel, as well as on the locking block. Metal components bear a dull late-war blue finish and frame is mounted with 2-piece brown bakelite grips. This example is accompanied by a "DLU/1945" marked softshell leather holster, indicating manufacture by E. Luneschloss in Solingen, and contains 1 spare magazine. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting some scattered handling marks overall. Grip strap has turned a grey patina. Mirror bore, exhibiting strong rifling throughout. Grips are very good. Holster shows some wear and aging but is otherwise fine. MLW
