Very rare Walther "ac" code P.38 semi-automatic pistol. About 5,700 were made in 1940, with the "40" being factory added later. "ac" marked on the trigger guard and barrel block. No import marks found. Matching serials on the frame, slide, barrel, and barrel block. "(Eagle)/359" Waffenamts throughout. Standard blade front sight and U-notch rear. Factory high polished blued finish. Brown serrated plastic grips. Magazine is not numbered and is marked "P.38" on the left side. Includes a brown leather, hardshell holster. Faint factory code (illegible), with "P.38" marked on the corner. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original high polish finish with general wear. Grips have a few minor handling marks. Bore is lightly frosted but retains strong rifling. Mechanically operable but de-cocker is not functioning correctly. Magazine has light wear. Holster has some wear and handling marks. JWA
