Standard configuration P.38 manufactured by Walther in 1941. Left side of slide bears "P.38" followed by "ac/41" and the serial number. Right side bears usual Walther acceptance proofs and firing proof. Blued finish with 2-piece grooved brown bakelite grips. All numbers are matching with the exception of the magazine. Pistol is accompanied by a rare bearskin holster bearing a "9" within an oakleaf maker mark on the rear and a partially legible "WaA938" waffenamt and contains a spare magazine. CONDITION: Very good, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting high edge wear and some areas of thinning and wear showing through to brown patina overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting strong rifling throughout. Grips show some superficial handling and storage marks but are otherwise fine. Holster shows some scattered handling marks and light age-related cracking but is otherwise sturdy and serviceable. MLW
