Lot consists of: (A) Mauser Karabiner 88 bolt action rifle made by C.G. Haenel in Suhl Germany in 1892. 18" blued round rifled barrel with protected front sight and rear graduated rear sight. Polished action with matching spoon handle bolt and "S" marking for use with 7.9 Patrone 88 bullets with matching blued trigger guard and magazine. Walnut full military stock with blued steel hardware and reproduction period style leather sling. CONDITION: 90% blue with action polished. Wood has 80% original arsenal finish. Good bore and mechanics. (B) Mauser Karabiner 88 bolt action rifle made for the commercial market with load marking stamped on side of action. Blued 7.9m/m 18" barrel with protected front sight and flip rear sight. Polished frame with commercial proofs and matching bolt. Full walnut stock cut for military-style sling with blued steel hardware. CONDITION: 90% remaining original blue with polished action with some light corrosion. 80% original varnish with light handling and carry wear. Good bore and mechanics. DLM
