P.08 reworked from commercial production at the Spandau arsenal in the mid 1920s. Receiver bears a crown/N commercial nitro proof on the left side and a Spandau "Su/25" proof on the right side. Chamber is blank. Toggle bears the intertwined DWM monogram. Barrel is of a slightly later production, bearing a Mauser "S/42" code as well as an eagle/63 waffenamt. Matching numbers are present on the frame, takedown lever, trigger, sideplate, barrel, and rear toggle link, with remaining components not being serialized. Magazine does not match. CONDITION: Metal components retain large amounts of their arsenal blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear showing through to silvering, some areas of thinning, as well as some scattered areas of oxidation overall. Bore is bright, exhibiting moderate oxidation and good rifling throughout. Grips show some smoothing to the checkering and exhibit a few internal cracks. MLW
