German Mauser "byf" Code P.08 Luger semi automatic pistol with holster. Made 1942, noted by the "42" on the chamber. Sometimes referred to as a "Black Widow". "byf" marked on the toggle. No import marks found. Matching serials throughout, minus the hold open, which is not numbered. "(Eagle) / 135" Waffenamts on the right side of the chamber. Blade front sight with v-notch rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Checkered black plastic grips. Aluminum bottom magazine is numbered, but not matching to the gun. Includes a dyed black "Kern Klager & Cie" marked leather hard shell holster. There is a pre-War "(Eagle) / WaA94" proof on the back, in addition to "42". CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its original finish with light wear. Numbers and markings have been marked in chalk. Grips have light wear. Bore is lightly frosted and retains strong rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine is excellent. holster has finish wear and scratches. There are 5 slashes on the bottom of the barrel area. Stitching is tight. JWA
