German "S/42" Code P.08 Luger semi automatic pistol with holster. Made 1935, with a "G" marked on the chamber. "S/42" marked on the toggle. This gun has a pre war eagle over an "N/993" on the front strap. This indicates shipment to the Nordsee base on the North Sea. No import marks found. Matching serials throughout, minus the firing pin and grips, which are not numbered. "(eagle)/211 Waffenamt on the right side of the chamber, in addition to other pre war proofs. Blade front sight and v-notch rear. Factory blued and straw finish. Checkered wood grips. Unmarked aluminum base magazine with a nickel finished body. Includes a 1936 dated "Kern Klager & Cie" leather hard shell holster. There is an "(Eagle) / WaA94" Waffenamt on the back. Original metal takedown tool is included in the pouch. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with general wear. Straw is about 90% as well. Bore is frosted with very good rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine has light finish wear. Holster has finish wear as well, in addition to some light cracking on the front. Tight stitching. JWA
