Carl Moon (1879-1948) began capturing images of the American Southwest after moving to New Mexico in 1903, with a special emphasis on recording local Native American culture. This brightly hand-colored photographic print features a young Pueblo woman in a buckskin dress with beaded belt, silver jewelry, and a simple bouquet of wildflowers. Moon's monogram is present in the lower left of print. Framed in what appears to be the original wood grain painted frame with original backing reattached. Backing has Carl Moon studio label and stamp of the print's title. CONDITION: Overall very good. Print is bright and clean with coloring still bright. Frame has some nicks and finish loss, especially around the edge. View: 15 - 1/2" x 19 - 1/2". Overall: 21" x 25 - 1/2". BAS
