Pre-War German Mauser "S/42" code P.08 Luger semi automatic pistol. Made 1936 as marked on the chamber. "S/42" Mauser code on the toggle. No import marks found. Matching serials throughout, minus the checkered wood grips. "(Eagle) / 63" Waffenamts on the right side of the chamber. Blade front sight with v-notch rear. Factory blued and straw finishes. Includes a matching numbered aluminum bottom magazine, with a nickel body and "(Eagle) / 63" Waffenamt on the base. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with areas of finish wear and cleaned patina. Some freckles of surface rust are present as well. Straw finish is about 70%. Grips have crisp checkering. Bore is lightly frosted, but retains strong rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine has light wear. JWA
