German "byf" Code P.08 Luger semi automatic pistol. Parts made 1941, with a "41" marked on the chamber. These were thought to have been assembled for the Luftwaffe circa 1943, by a contractor, hence the "Ku" suffix on the left side of the chamber. "byf" code on the toggle. No import marks found. Matching serials throughout, minus the hold open which is not numbered. The checkered wood grips have the full serial number "1440" on the inside of each panel. Blade front sight with v-notch rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. No magazine is included. CONDITION: Metal retains 50% of its original finish with areas of wear and scattered spots of surface rust. Grips have light wear. Bore is lightly frosted and retains strong rifling. Mechanically fine. JWA
