German Erfurt LP.08 Luger semi-automatic pistol with stock and holster rig. Made "1914" at the Erfurt Arsenal. No import/export marks found. Matching serials throughout, including the checkered wood grips. The barrel looks to have been renumbered at some point, possibly arsenal done. Imperial military proofs throughout. Standard blade front sight and rear tangent adjustable to 800 meters. Factory blued and straw finishes. Wood grips have their original light oil finish. Two wood bottom magazines are included, one has an imperial proof on the bottom, while the other is unmarked and later production. Also includes an original, Imperial proofed, wood board stock and "1916" dated leather holster. Holster is marked "R.BALL" on the inside. Iron on the stock is numbered but not matching. Leather shoulder strap, 2-pocket magazine pouch, original takedown tool, and clearing rod are all present. CONDITION: Metal retains 70% of its original finish with areas of finish loss and mild surface rust. Straw finish is approximately 50% with areas of heavy loss on the trigger and takedown lever. Grips have light wear. Bore is frosted and retains very good overall rifling. Believe the sear is broken, leaving a dead trigger. Magazines are very good, with light wear. 1 has a gouge on the base. Stock is broken on the rear corner. Some light surface rust on the iron. Leather holster has crazing/cracking and heavy wear. There is some oxidation on the hardware as well. JWA
