Lot consist of: (A) Whitneyville Armory Model No. 1 single action revolver. Made circa 1870's. "WHITNEYVILLE ARMORY CT, U.S.A." marked on the top of the barrel. Serial number on the butt. Octagon barrel with half-moon front sight and V-notch rear. Factory nickel finish. Case colored spurred hammer and trigger. Lacquered rosewood grips. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with a few handling marks and scratches. Grips are excellent as well. Grey bore with solid rifling. Mechanically inoperable, as the cylinder seems to bind up. (B) American Standard Tool (Manhattan Firearms Company) single action revolver. Made circa 1880's by Manhattan Firearms Company, using the trade name "AMERICAN STANDARD TOOL CO. NEWARK N.J.", which is marked on the barrel. Matching serials on the barrel and cylinder. Ribbed barrel with replacement blade front sight, and V-notch rear. Polished nickel finish with fine scroll engraving on the frame and barrel. Later production imitation ivory grips. CONDITION: Metal retains 80% of its original finish with general wear and some scattered handling marks. Grips have light wear. Grey bore with crisp rifling. Tight hammer and cylinder. Mechanically fine. JWA
