Standard configuration P.38 manufactured by Spreewerke during WWII. Left side of slide is stamped "P.38" and "cvq" followed by the serial number, with the right bearing two "(Eagle) / 88" waffenamts on either side of a firing proof. Frame is stamped "334" on the left side to the rear of the slide catch. Metal components are salt blued, with the frame being mounted with brown 2-piece pressed resin grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, slide, barrel, and locking block. Complete with an "(Eagle) / WaA938" leather holster. Interior of holster flap bears "GILMORE" handwritten with a felt pen. CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their original arsenal blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and some scattered handling marks overall. Front grip strap has turned a grey patina. Mirror bore, exhibiting well-defined rifling throughout. Grips show a few handling marks overall but are otherwise sturdy and serviceable. Holster shows some moderate wear overall from use. MLW
