Pre-war German Mauser G-date P.08 Luger semi-automatic pistol with holster. Made 1935 at the Mauser Oberndorf factory, noted by the "G" on the chamber, and "S/42" code on the toggle. No import marks found. Matching serials throughout, minus the grips. "(Eagle) / 63" and "S92" proofs on the right side of the chamber. Blade front sight and V-notch rear. Factory blued and straw finish on the metal components. Checkered wood grips look to be later production and have a lacquered finish. Non-matching nickel-plated magazine with aluminum bottom. "B90" proof on the bottom. "HANS ROMER" marked brown leather holster dared "1937", with an (Eagle) / WaA455" waffenamt on the back. CONDITION: Metal retains 80% of its original finish with general holster wear. Straw finish is approximately 70% Grips have crisp checkering. Bore is very lightly frosted but retains crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine has normal handling marks. Holster has light wear and handling marks. Some crazing on the shell. Stitching remains tight. JWA
