Standard configuration P.38 manufactured by Mauser in 1943. Left side of slide is stamped "P.38" and "byf/43" followed by the serial number, with the right side bearing 2 "(Eagle) / 135" Mauser waffenamts surround an eagle firing proof. "(Eagle) / 135" waffenamts are also present on the frame and barrel lug. Metal components exhibit a dull blue military finish, with the frame being mounted with 2-piece black Polymid 6-grooved grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, slide, barrel, and locking block. Complete with a 1943 black leather holster stamped "cww", indicating manufacture by Carl Weiss. CONDITION: Metal components retain fair amounts of their original blue finish, showing wear and thinning to brown and grey patina overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting good rifling throughout. Grips show scattered handling marks but are otherwise sturdy and serviceable. Holster is good overall. MLW
