Half moon front sight, U notch flat top rear sight. Left side with 2 line 2 block patent and address information with intercepting pony, right side with "MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY". "H" stamped at top of firing pin retaining plate channel. Barrel marked "P" on left lug, "HS" on right. Top of frame with "G" behind disconnector hole, faint "H" ahead of hole. Frame marked on left side of dust cover "UNITED STATES PROPERTY", "(Eagle Head) / S12" above magazine release, serial number on right side of frame. Small parts comprise checkered spurred hammer, checkered thick tab safety, checkered slide release with milled undercut, long smooth trigger, checkered magazine release, short 1911 grip safety, smooth flat mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Walnut truncated diamond grips. 2 tone magazine with dual pinned base. Housed in a black leather holster marked "US" on flap, and "BOLEN LEA. PROD. / 7791466" on rear. CONDITION: Good, essentially a smooth homogeneous brown patina throughout with some bluing still visible in protected areas and on some small parts. Mechanically fine, bore is frosted throughout with heavily softened rifling. Holster is very good, pliable, with some crazing of the leather to flexing areas. EMW
