East German reworked Mauser S/42 code P.08 Luger semi-automatic pistol with holster. Made "1939" as marked on the chamber at the Mauser Oberndorf factory, noted by "S/42" marked on the toggle. This gun was later reworked in East Germany, noted by a penned-out sunburst proof on the left side of the trigger guard. Import marked on the barrel. Matching serials throughout, with the magazine hold open not being numbered. "(Eagle) / 63" proofs still visible on the right side of the chamber. Blade front sight and V-notch rear. Arsenal re-blued finish on the metal components. Checkered plastic East German grips. "fxo" marked blued steel magazine, with "(Eagle) / 37" proofs and an arsenal matched aluminum bottom magazine. Includes a black leather post-war police style holster, marked "Koffer u. Lederwarenfabrik Zeiu/S.L.V. Saale/Zeitz" on the inside of the flap. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its arsenal reapplied finish with light wear and a few handling marks. Grips have light wear. Bore is clean overall with strong rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine is excellent. Holster is excellent overall with strong stitching. JWA
