Standard configuration P.38 manufactured by Mauser in 1945. Left side of slide "P.38" followed by "svw/45" followed by the serial number, with the right side bearing 2 "(Eagle) / 135" waffenamts as well as a firing proof. Metal components are phosphate finished, with the barrel being blued. Frame is mounted with 2-piece black polymid grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, slide, barrel, and locking block. Pistol is accompanied by "jwa/41" code holster, indicating manufacture by Moritz Stecher. CONDITION: Metal components retain good amounts of their arsenal finishes, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning overall. Bore is bright and exhibits good rifling throughout. Grips show some scattered handling marks overall but are otherwise sturdy and serviceable. Holster is very good overall. MLW
