East German rework Mauser "42" code P.08 Luger semi-automatic pistol with holster. Made "1940" as marked on the chamber, by Mauser, with "42" marked on the toggle. Small penned-out East German sunburst proof on the left side of the trigger guard. Import marked on the underside of the barrel. Matching serials minus the hold open. Some parts have been arsenal renumbered. "(Eagle) / 655" waffenamts on the right side of the frame and barrel. Standard barrel with blade front sight and V-notch rear. Arsenal re-blued finish on the metal components. Checkered plastic grips. "fxo" marked blued steel magazine with aluminum bottom and "(Eagle) / 37" waffenamts. Includes a black leather "bcb/42" marked hardshell holster with an "(Eagle) / WaA170" waffenamt and "P.08" on the back. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% of its arsenal reapplied finish. Grips have a few handling marks and scratches. Bore is lightly frosted with good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine is excellent. Holster has a few scratches, being excellent overall. Tight stitching retained. JWA
