Lot contains: (A) German World War II daggers both etched with the name and unit of the US WWII veteran who brought them home; "Lt. Col. Mataxis, 2 Bn, 276 Inf. Regt. - 1944". Denazified Heer dagger with a "E.F. Horster, Solingen" marked blade with freckling and scattered marks throughout. Fittings are loose and heavily worn, trylon grip has numerous light cracks, swastika is broken off, veteran information is etched on cross guard, scabbard has moderate wear. Second one is made from parts (Heer/DLV) with a "Original Eickhorn" marked blade which has been shorted, tip is reground, scattered marks, freckling, and a chip to the blade. Veteran information is etched on the blade, 1 of 2 swastikas on the cross guard is ground off, and the Heer grip has several 1/2" cracks. CONDITION: Overall fair to good. (B) SA dagger "Karl Julius Krebs" marked heavily freckled blade, mismatched K98 bayonet with light to moderate freckling, in a black leather frog with an extra stitch line. CONDITION: Overall fair to good. (C) 2 fighting knife style dress bayonets: one with a "Solingen" marked blade with light freckling and scattered marks, in a 90+% black scabbard, and one with a "F.W. Holler" marked blade with light freckling and scattered marks, missing its bayonet release mechanism, in a 65-70% black scabbard with freckling. CONDITION: Overall very good to excellent. WEZ
