Lot consists of: (A) WWI US Army Model 1917 Trench Knife with scabbard. The knife features blued, triangular blade exhibits 3 significant lines on each side from being taken in and out of scabbard. The knife is wood gripped with finger grooves and a D guard with 7 pyramid-shaped projections sticking out of the face including the skull crusher. The top of the guard is marked "U.S. / L.F.&C. / 1917". The knife is complete with its iron and leather scabbard and is faintly marked "JEWELL 1918". CONDITION: The blade retains some of its original finish and exhibits chips on the edges. The guard exhibits surface rust and tarnishing which can be cleaned. The wood grip exhibits scattered light handling marks. The scabbard retains most of its original green paint. Overall good. (B) Cattaraugus 225Q fighting knife. The spine is engraved "LT. COL. MATAXIS 2 BN. 276 INF. 44". CONDITION: Blade is heavily worn, stacked leather washer handle is coming apart. Scabbard exhibits wear. Overall Poor. (C) Sansouchi DR Mark II fighting knife. The blade is engraved "LT. COL. MATAXIS" on the obverse and "2 BN. 276 INF." on the reverse. CONDITION: The blade, handle, and scabbard all exhibit significant wear. Overall fair. JLD
