German Mauser "byf" code P.08 Luger semi-automatic pistol with holster. Made 1942, as marked "42" on the chamber. "byf" marked on the toggle. No import marks found. Of note, this is serial 50 in the "d" block! Matching serials throughout (grips are not numbered). "(Eagle) / 135" proofs on the right side of the chamber, and on the inside of the grips. Standard blade front sight and v-notch rear. Factory blued finish and checkered wood grips. "fxo" marked blued steel magazine with an "(Eagle) / 37" Waffenamt and Bakelite bottom. "1942" dated "cww" marked black leather hard shell holster. Marked with an "(Eagle) / WaA250" Waffenamt and "P.08" on the back. CONDITION: Metal retains 95% or more of its original finish with a few handling marks. Grips are excellent. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine has light wear. Holster has some light fading, being very good overall. Tight stitching. JWA
