P.08 manufactured by DWM in 1914. Receiver bears "1914" over the chamber, with DWM arsenal proofs on the right hand side. Toggle bears the intertwined DWM monogram. Bottom of barrel is stamped "Bo27". Left side of frame is hand scribed "PETER". Major metal components are blued, with some smaller components being strawed and nitre blued. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered walnut grips. Right grip panel bears 4 "kill" notches on the bottom right side. All numbers are matching including the grips, with the exception of the magazine which is unnumbered. Pistol is accompanied by a brown leather holster that is stamped "Rudolf Wiemer&Co./ Mulheim-Ruhr./ 1916". on the interior of the flap. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of what appears to be their period arsenal reapplied blue finish, exhibiting a few spots of wear and very light oxidation overall. Frame beneath grip panels shows areas of oxidation. Strawed components retain good amounts of their finish, exhibiting wear and areas of age related discoloration overall. Very bright bore, exhibiting light oxidation and good rifling throughout. Grips are very good. Holster shows some marks from storage and handling, but is otherwise fine. MLW
