Mauser S/42 code P.08 Luger semi automatic pistol with holster. Made 1937 at the Mauser Oberndorf factory. "1937" on the chamber, and "S/42" marked toggle. No import marks found. Matching serials on the frame, barrel, side plate, safety bar, sear, trigger, safety, bolt and toggle. Hold open is mismatched. Toggle bolt and firing pin are not numbered. Grips and magazine are numbered to a different gun. "(Eagle) / 63" Waffenamts on the right side of the chamber. Standard blade front and v-notch rear sight. Reapplied blue finish, but the straw finish is original. Aluminum bottom nickel finished magazine with "(Eagle) / 63" Waffenamt on the bottom. Checkered wood grips. Includes a 1936 dated "KOLN-DEUTZ" marked brown leather holster with a faint Waffenamt on the back. CONDITION: Metal retains 80% of its finish with general wear and some light freckles of surface rust. Straw is about 70%. Grips have a few handling marks. Bore is shiny with strong rifling. Magazine has some finish wear. Holster has light wear, with the stitching remaining tight. JWA
