Full or partial matching numbers observed on frame, hammer, sear arm, subframe (internally, just ahead of latch, instead of on rear), locking block lug, rear sight, firing pin assembly, firing pin locking block, locking lug, left side of follower, inside of floor plate, interior of trigger, and inside of grips. Notably, the firing pin and the firing pin retaining plate are the only mismatched pieces but they match each other at 13076. Blade front sight, 50-500 graduated V-notch rear sight (all numbers are horizontal) retained by pin. "WAFFENFABRIK / MAUSER / OBERNDORF A/N" over chamber, "(Crown) / (Crown) / U" proof on left offset flat, Oberndorf antler proof on right side of chamber. Subinspector proofs visible on flat underside of chamber, and several small gothic "M" proofs throughout, including internals. 23 groove walnut grips. Non-rotatable lanyard loop. Early push-down safety. No visible import mark. Rear strap cut for a stock lug, stock not present. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining the vast majority of the factory bluing, approximately 80-85%, with some silvering to high edges and flaking to brown visible in several areas, primarily to barrel, right side, and front side of magazine well. Some other associated handling marks, some of which have silvered, largest on left side of barrel. Small area of marks on left side of frame, just ahead of subframe lug, probably from improper attempts at disassembly. Stamps have nicely visible distension from application. Some spotting to parts that are in-the-white and/or polished. Trigger guard is polished with interior having flashes of straw visible. Grips are very good and appear to have had an extra layer of varnish applied. Mechanically fine, bore is excellent with strong rifling and some minor pitting in grooves. A nice example of an early gun. EMW
